Robert Fiacco

Medium

Oil

Style(s)

Robert's oil paintings are profoundly dramatic with a delicate softness that results in a wonderful presentation throughout his collection. His paintings display a wonderful combination of photo realism and perhaps a slight hint of impressionism.

Biography

Robert Fiacco has been painting since childhood. While living in California, Robert studied under local artist Esther Taylor where he learned the basic fundamentals of drawing and painting. As a child, he spent hours copying the paintings of Charles M. Russell and Fredrick Remington, slowly improving his painting skills. Roberts passions are narrative paintings, portraits, and seascapes. After 20 years of painting, Robert decided to enter the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in 1996, where he focused on the fundamentals--life drawing, anatomy, perspective, and color theory. This education truly paid off leaving Robert a much better artist. Over the past ten years, Robert has been focusing on portraiture, seascapes, florals, and maritime themes. He has completed over 45 formal portraits for various clients and continues to receive commissionings through R. Roberts Gallery in Jacksonville Florida, who has represented him since 1998. Robert plans to retire from the US Navy in 2009 and settle in Augusta Georgia with his wife Susan and two children, Rose and Jack.
